Do I need a referral?
If you have a work related injury under WorkCover you will need one from your treating doctor or specialist.
Third party related injuries require a referral from your treating doctor or specialist.
Medicare Enhanced Primary Care Plan (EPC Plan) and Department of Veterans Affairs also require a referral from your
treating doctor or specialist.
Can I use my private health fund?
Core Performance Physiotherapy is connected electronically to HiCaps which enables you to only pay the gap.
You will need to bring your private health fund card with you to enable this to be processed. Each health fund is different so please contact your health fund prior to your first visit to us to find out your coverage.
Do we treat work cover related injuries?
Yes we are an approved health care provider under the WorkCover scheme. Our staff are expertly trained to treat injured
workers and help them achieve a safe return to work and the best outcomes.
Can we refer for scans & x-ray?
Yes we can. Physiotherapists can refer you for many types of medical investigations including x-rays,
CT scans, bone scans and MRI scans. At any time we may refer you for further investigations to help establish a diagnosis
and direct the most effective care.
What is the cost for scans or x-ray?
The full Medicare rebate applies to some types of spinal x-rays ordered by Physios. For all other x-rays and diagnostic
ultrasound imaging, clients only collect part of the rebate if the imaging was otherwise ordered by a doctor.
What is CDM or EPC?
The Chronic Disease Management (formerly Enhanced Primary Care or EPC) — GP services on the Medicare Benefits Schedule (MBS) enable GPs to plan and coordinate the health care of patients with chronic or terminal medical conditions, including patients with these conditions who require multidisciplinary, team-based care from a GP and at least two other health or care providers.

What are my treatment options?
Treatment options include a wide range of manual therapies, exercise programs, electrotherapy techniques and airway
clearance techniques tailored to your specific condition. Physiotherapists can also show you how to use,
and where to obtain, equipment aids.
Do we treat various conditions?
Yes we do.
Neurological conditions such as stroke, Parkinson's Disease, Multiple Sclerosis and spinal cord injuries.
Cardiothoracic conditions like emphysema, asthma and chronic bronchitis.
Physiotherapists can also help a person to recover from surgery.
Is Pilates claimable through my Private Health Fund?
Yes it is.
Pilates is recognised as a medical benefit through your physiotherapist. You will be 100% monitored throughout your class and follow a strict clinical exercise program based on your individual needs and requirements to enhance your wellbeing, fitness and mobility.
What do I need to bring?
A referral if necessary.
Any x-rays, CT scans or MRI reports if you have them. Comfortable loose clothing.
